Projects
I have been working in webdesign and development for the past five years
and during this time have worked on numerous
Internet
and Intranet projects.
These projects have included the following:
- www.talab.co.uk - This
site was created in 2000, for the Transport and Logistics
Advisory Bureau. It contains a large database driven product
and service index, for the Road Transport industry
- www.sigil.co.uk - A
hobby online RolePlay site, that I have provided some of the
functions for
A highly acclaimed website, inherited from its previous owners.
Still alot of scope to improve this site and parts of it still require
improvements
- www.unitumbra.co.uk
- One of my hobbies involves a fantasy based, Live-RolePlay
system, of which I belong to a group of enthusiasts
-
www.knorr-bremse.co.uk - I currently work for a company
that is owned by the Knorr-Bremse group. I was part of a team
responsible for populating the UK website with information
-
www.platformscreendoors.com - Another website created for the
company that I work for
-
www.platformscreendoors.com - The Chinese version of the above site
From the above projects, I have built up a core of web-based skills, and
am able to create sites that fulfil customer requirements.
My skills include (amongst others)
- HTML :: The core of the web, HyperText Markup Language
- PHP :: Hypertext Preprocessor scripting
- ASP :: Active Server Page scripting
- JavaScript :: Client side scripting
- DHTML :: Dynamic HyperText Markup Language
- MySQL :: A commonly used Database format
- MS Access :: Microsoft Access Database
I additionally have Open University certificates in Basic and Advanced
Web Design, and have almost completed a certificate in Server-side of Application
